Paul Davis signed for Arsenal in 1978 and turned professional in 1979. His debut came on April 7, 1980 when Terry Neill’s side won 2-1 at White Hart Lane. He was a regular over the next couple of seasons and went on to have 447 appearances and scoring 37 goals for the Gunners. He was known for his vision and his fierce loyalty to the club. He was in the side that won the title in 1990/91. Davis also played in the two cup finals in 1993 and was a driving force behind the Cup Winners' Cup triumph in 1994. He was released in June 1995 and played five games at Brentford before retiring.
