Allinson joined the Gunners in 1983. Allinson was known as a willing runner and put over manytesting crosses from the right flank. Arsenal then went on to win the game. Allinson had 105 appearances and scored 23 times. Allinson’s greatest night came at White Hart Lane in the Littlewoods Cup Semi-Final of 1987 where he equalised in the last 10 minutes of the game. He then moved to Luton and then ended his career back at Colchester.
